CENTROPE pilot project ‘Spatial Development‘
Comprehensive knowledge about intentions and instruments of the planning authorities in the partner regions represents a crucial pre-condition for cross-border cooperation. With this understanding of the development perspectives and policy tools of the various sub-regions at hand, the own undertakings can be better aligned and coordination be achieved at an early stage.
The pilot project led to an overview of relevant projects and instruments in the areas of infrastructure, transport, environment and planning, also considering the sub-topics of water management and long-term spatial development. In this context the most diverse documents, planning tools and actors in the sub-regions were registered and depicted in a clear and accessible way.
