‘MyCentrope.com’ – A new information hub for your journey through CENTROPE
Since late October, a new internet platform facilitates the “borderless experience”: at www.mycentrope.com, consumers find information about leisure, shopping and culture, can book tourism offers, arrange individual trips, take part in lotteries and access insider travel tips – all this in four languages: Czech, German, Hungarian and Slovak.
In general, there still exists a notable deficit in marketing the variety of attractions of CENTROPE. For instance, there is no need to travel the long way down to Pisa to see a leaning tower: barely known across the border, such an attraction may also be found in Vrbové in the Trnava Region. Helping to discover such nearby but covert treasures and reporting about ongoing events in all four CENTROPE countries is the mission of the new web portal ‘MyCentrope’, which was launched on 28 October 2010 to provide online information in all four CENTROPE languages.
All relevant information and booking alternatives for enjoying leisure time in the four-country region can be found on this website – be it for short stays, shopping trips, concerts or events. An innovative screening system permits users to tailor the search function to their personal interests. In addition, mycentrope.com features lottery games and exclusive tourism offers that can only be booked through the website.
Besides offering an overview of events, the website supports decisions to take a spontaneous trip with a transnational weather forecast. Although nobody can predict if CENTROPE will have a splendid hot summer or a rather cold and wet one, this service will at least let you know if the waters of Lake Neusiedl will be warm enough for a plunge tomorrow or whether it would be wiser to visit one of the numerous spas – or just seize any other of the manifold leisure opportunities in CENTROPE.
