Tourism in the CENTROPE Region can be best described with the words quality and diversity. Undoubtly the city of Vienna is the tourism pole of the region. The CENTROPE region has a broad spectrum of upper secondary education with more than 25 schools specialised in Tourism. The education is focused on vocational training
On university level there are on the one hand Tourism related studies and departments, on the other hand applied university programs for specific tourism related themes (e.g. health management, vine management, tourism management) Important universities for the tourism sector are the Danube University Krems, the Fachhochschule Modul Vienna, University of Economics in Vienna and the Bratislava universities.

The diversity of qualities in the economic area and living space CENTROPE offers numerous still unused opportunities for cooperations and innovation. The initiative CENTROPE supports the process of integration by a systematic developement of communication structures, matching of common interests and the realisation of pilot projects for a dynamic growth in the 4-countries border region of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria.
